“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Things are good here...

Before I came to Dubai people would always tell me how the night life was very similar to Vegas....Holy Moly were they not kidding! There is always something going on...whether it be beach parties, concerts, clubs/bars, or rounding up a group of people to play some good ol' fashion kickball.

Last weekend I went to the Atlantis Hotel for the DXB festival...TONS of fun! LMFAO was the lead act for the evening. Of course I weaseled my way up to the front and it was AUHHH-MAZING!
Check out our cool bandanas...
Yup, thats right...FRONT ROW!

I really have enjoyed my time here so far. I have met lots of new people who have become my surrogate family since I am so far away from home. Its been really nice because we are all experiencing the same things/emotions. We all have our good and bad days...as well as trying to learn how to live/survive here in the Middle East. But over all life here is so different compared to the states and I feel so lucky to have this opportunity.  I've only been here for 8 weeks, but I feel like I have already learned so much about the different cultures and people I am surrounded by and I have learned sooooo much about myself. I feel like I am really growing as a person...haha woah thats deep. ;)

Something funny...

On a side note...one of my good buddies just turn 30! WOW Silas, I can't believe how old you are now! haha!

AND FINALLY.....I just got one of the best letters in the mail this week. My dear friend Jessica Norman is marrying Will Hill and she has asked me to be her MAID OF HONOR! I am so excited to start helping you plan your wonderful day as well as start planning our Christmas vacation in Europe! :)

Cheers from the Middle East!
